Notification troubleshooting

I am not getting emails

Check these in order.

  1. Your address is not blocked. After a hard bounce or a spam complaint, FlowState stops sending to your address, even the always-on categories. The app does not show this state. Ask an AI assistant to run get_my_notification_preferences(), which reports it. To recover from a hard bounce, see Deliverability. After a spam complaint, contact support@copebit.ch.
  2. The email is not in your spam folder. Search for no-reply@flowstate.copebit.io. If you find FlowState emails there, mark them as not spam. If your company uses a mail security gateway, ask your IT team to allowlist FlowState; see Deliverability.
  3. The category is on. Check both your account-wide and your tenant preferences; see Manage preferences.
  4. The email was sent. Owners and admins with the audit permission can check the tenant’s send log with the MCP tool list_notification_log(category="tenant.role_changed", limit=20).

I am getting too many emails

Every optional category is on at first, so tenant, HubSpot and Slack emails are expected. Turn off the categories you do not want in Manage preferences, for all tenants or for one. To turn off every optional category at once, use your mail app’s one-click unsubscribe or the MCP tool unsubscribe_all.

Unsubscribing did not work

  • You still get emails of another category. The link in an email turns off only that email’s category. Turn the others off in Manage preferences.
  • You want to stop an always-on category. Invitations, data-export notices and the two tenant suspension and deletion warnings cannot be turned off. Their emails have no unsubscribe link.
  • You are not sure it worked. After you click Unsubscribe, the page shows Unsubscribed. Check the category in Manage preferences.

The FlowState logo does not show

FlowState emails load the logo as an image from the FlowState app’s own web address. Some mail apps, for example Outlook for Windows, block images from the internet until you allow them. The email then shows the text FlowState in place of the logo. To show the logo, allow images for no-reply@flowstate.copebit.io in your mail app. The email content is the same with or without the logo.
