Creating offers from the card
This page is for sellers. It shows how to create an AWS Marketplace private offer from a HubSpot deal, and how to release, clone, change and expire it.
Before you start
- An admin has connected the seller account. See Getting started.
- An admin has given you the
creatororadminrole under HubSpot user access. Without a role, you can only view offers. To release, change or expire offers, you needadmin. - You know the buyer’s 12-digit AWS account ID.
Open the Marketplace tab
- Open the deal in HubSpot.
- On the FlowState APN Sync card, click Open next to Marketplace.
If the tab shows No Marketplace connector configured, ask your admin to connect the seller account.
Create an offer
-
In Marketplace product, choose the product for this deal. FlowState saves the choice on the deal.
-
If the deal has offers already, click Create new offer. For a deal without offers, the form is open already.
-
Fill in the form. If your admin set offer defaults, some values are filled in already.
Field What to enter Offer name A name for the offer. Buyer AWS account id The buyer’s 12-digit AWS account ID. Dimension The pricing dimension of the product. Offer expiration date The last day on which the buyer can accept the offer. Currency Only currencies that your seller account can be paid in are listed. Contract duration (months) The length of the contract. Advanced: quantity and price The total contract price for the full term (not a unit price), and the quantity (usually 1). Payment schedule Optional. Click Add installment to split the total into charges with dates. Without a schedule, the buyer pays the full total at the start. EULA Standard EULA (default) or a custom EULA that your admin uploaded. -
Click Create offer.
Result: the card shows Creating… AWS can take a few minutes to apply this. Then it shows Offer created with the offer ID, and the offer appears in the list with the status Draft. The buyer cannot see a draft.
Release an offer
Releasing cannot be undone. After release, you cannot change the price, the buyer or the payment schedule.
- In the offer list, click Release on the offer.
- In Release this offer?, click Release offer.
Result: after AWS has applied the change, the offer shows Released. The buyer can now accept it. Use View in the offer list to open the offer in the AWS console.
Other actions
| Action | When | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Clone | Any offer | Opens the form with the values of the offer. Change what you need and click Create offer to create a new draft. The original offer does not change. |
| Change | A released offer that the buyer has not accepted yet | Opens the form with the values of the offer. Click Change offer, then Confirm change. FlowState creates a new offer with your values, releases it, and then ends the current offer. |
| Expire | An offer that the buyer has not accepted yet | In Expire this offer?, click Expire offer. The buyer can no longer accept the offer. This cannot be undone. |
While AWS applies an action, the offer row shows what is happening instead of the buttons.
