Stripe or AWS Marketplace
Both give you the same product, the same plan and the same prices (see Plan and prices). Choose the one that fits how your company buys software.
| Stripe | AWS Marketplace | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Signing up and paying by card right away | Buying through AWS, or drawing down an AWS commitment |
| Payment | Card, and any other method offered on the Stripe payment page | Your AWS payment method, on your AWS bill |
| Currency | US dollars | US dollars |
| Invoice | Monthly, from Stripe, to the billing email on your Stripe account | Monthly, on your AWS bill |
| Counts against an AWS commitment | No | Yes |
| Sign-up | Self-service when you create your organisation | Subscribe on AWS Marketplace, then contact support to link the subscription |
| Cancel | Organisation → Billing → Cancel subscription (organisation admins) | AWS Marketplace console → Manage subscriptions |
| After cancelling | All tenants of the organisation are suspended at the end of the billing period | The linked tenant is suspended when AWS confirms |
| Usage reporting | Every hour | Every hour |
| Free credit | None | None |
| Switching to the other | Contact support | Contact support |
Choose Stripe if you want to start at once, or your finance team pays software bills separately from AWS. Choose AWS Marketplace if your company has an AWS commitment to draw down, or buys all software through AWS. If you are not sure, start with Stripe: support can move you to AWS Marketplace later, and your data stays as it is.
Direct billing by invoice
If you want to pay by invoice instead, do not complete the sign-up. Contact support@copebit.ch. FlowState creates your organisation and tenant with direct billing, active from the first day, with no Stripe account and no payment method. You get an invitation to become the tenant owner, and you become the owner when you accept it — at your first sign-in, or, if you already have a FlowState account, when you select the tenant.
