Marketplace Offers overview

Marketplace Offers connects FlowState to your AWS Marketplace seller account. Your sellers create and manage private offers from the FlowState card on the HubSpot deal, so an offer starts from the deal it belongs to.

Who it is for

Companies that sell at least one SaaS product through AWS Marketplace and give individual buyers custom prices or terms. If you do not sell through AWS Marketplace, you do not need it.

Who does what

The same actions are available as REST API endpoints and MCP tools, for example list_marketplace_products, create_marketplace_offer and release_marketplace_offer.

How an offer moves

Offer lifecycle: Create offer makes a Draft the buyer does not see. Release makes it Released, which the buyer can accept. Expire, or the expiration date passing, makes it Expired, which the buyer can no longer accept.
  • Draft. A new offer is always a draft. The buyer does not see it.
  • Released. The buyer can accept the offer. AWS does not allow changes to the price, the buyer or the payment schedule of a released offer.
  • Expired. The buyer can no longer accept the offer.

Because a released offer cannot change, you have these options:

  • Clone copies an offer into a new draft, which you can edit and release as a separate offer.
  • Change creates a new offer with the new terms, releases it, and then ends the current offer. It is available only for a released offer that the buyer has not accepted yet.
  • Expire ends a released offer now. AWS has no delete or withdraw for a released offer.

AWS takes from a few seconds to a few minutes to apply each change. The card shows a progress line until AWS has finished.

Your AWS account is the source of truth

FlowState does not keep a copy of your offers. Every list reads your AWS Marketplace catalog directly, and every change goes straight to AWS. There is nothing to sync or reconcile, and nothing is written to HubSpot deal properties.

Warning

AWS Marketplace has no sandbox. Every offer you create is a real offer in your live catalog. A created offer cannot be deleted, only expired.

Permissions

In FlowState, the tenant roles give these rights:

PermissionAllowsRoles
View offersSee products, offers and agreementsOwner, admin, member
Manage offersConnect and disconnect the connector, create and clone offers, upload EULAsOwner, admin
Release offersRelease, expire or change an offerOwner, admin

On the HubSpot card, what a HubSpot user may do depends on the role an admin gives them under HubSpot user access. See Give sellers access.

Billing

FlowState bills each released offer for the time it is available. A draft is never billed. Expiring an offer stops the billing. See Billing → Metering.
