Connect Claude (web, desktop and mobile)

You add FlowState to Claude once, as a custom connector. The connector then works in claude.ai, the Claude desktop app and the Claude mobile app, and in Claude Code when it is logged in with the same account.

Before you start

  • MCP server is turned on under Settings → Features in FlowState.
  • Your FlowState role is owner, admin or member. See Authentication.
  • You can see the OAuth client ID and client secret: in the FlowState app, go to Settings → MCP. The OAuth client card shows the client ID; click Reveal to show the client secret. Each reveal is recorded in the audit log.

Add the connector

  1. In the FlowState app, go to Settings → MCP and copy the Server URL.
  2. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors and click Add custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise plan, only an Owner can add it: go to Organization settings → Connectors, click Add, then Custom (choose Web if asked).
  3. Enter FlowState as the name and paste the server URL.
  4. Open Advanced settings and enter the client ID and client secret from Settings → MCP. If your dialog asks how Claude identifies itself instead, choose Use your own OAuth client.
  5. Click Add.

You cannot change a connector’s OAuth settings after you add it. To change them, remove the connector and add it again.

  1. Under Customize → Connectors, click Connect next to FlowState. On a Team or Enterprise plan, every member does this once, after the Owner has added the connector.
  2. Your browser opens the FlowState sign-in page. Sign in with email and password, or with Google.
  3. You return to Claude, and the connector shows as connected.

Check the connection

In a new chat, ask: “Get my FlowState profile.” Claude calls get_my_profile() and shows your account and tenant. If Claude reports -32031 or -32030, see Authentication → Errors.

Claude renews the access token every hour. After 30 days you sign in again with Connect.
