Custom properties
For the APN integration, FlowState keeps a small set of deal properties in HubSpot, in its own
property group FlowState APN (flowstate_apn). Every label starts with APN, so the
properties are easy to find in deal views, filters and reports.
FlowState creates the properties only when you click Provision properties on Settings →
Integrations → HubSpot (or use the provision_hubspot_properties MCP tool). The APN deal
properties list on the same page shows the current set, with type, owner and whether your
team can edit it.
Provision properties is always safe to run again. It creates missing properties and updates labels, options and descriptions. It never deletes a property and never changes a value on a deal.
The properties
| Property (label) | Internal name | Type | Written by | What it holds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| APN Sync with AWS enabled | apn_sync_with_aws_enabled | Boolean | HubSpot | Turns APN sync on for the deal. On its own it does not send anything to AWS: FlowState creates the AWS opportunity only when a submission is requested (see The HubSpot card). Set it to No to pause sync without losing the link. |
| APN Opportunity ID | apn_opportunity_id | Text | AWS | The ID AWS gives the opportunity. Set once. |
| APN Invitation ID | apn_invitation_id | Text | AWS | The ID of the AWS co-sell invitation, on deals FlowState created from an invitation. Empty on deals created in HubSpot. |
| APN Sync Status | apn_sync_status | Dropdown | FlowState | Where the sync stands: Pending, Submitted, In Review, Approved, Action Required, Disqualified, Conflict, Error, Pending Invitation, Invitation Rejected. |
| APN Review Status | apn_review_status | Dropdown | AWS | AWS’s review status of the opportunity. |
| APN Lifecycle Stage | apn_lifecycle_stage | Dropdown | Both | The opportunity’s stage in AWS. FlowState updates it from your deal stage and from AWS. |
| APN Business Problem | apn_business_problem | Multi-line text | HubSpot | The client’s business problem, as sent to AWS. |
| APN Closed Lost Reason | apn_closed_lost_reason | Dropdown | HubSpot | One of AWS’s reasons for a lost opportunity. Sent only when the deal is closed lost. |
| APN Postal Code | apn_postal_code | Text | Both | The postal code of the client’s main address. |
| APN AWS Account ID | apn_aws_account_id | Text | HubSpot | The client’s AWS account ID. |
| APN MRR | apn_mrr | Number | Both | The expected monthly recurring revenue. AWS can change it during its review. This is not the deal’s Amount, which FlowState never changes. |
Properties written by AWS or FlowState are read-only in HubSpot, so a manual edit can never be overwritten without notice. When a Both property changes on both sides between two syncs, FlowState marks the deal Conflict and you choose the value; see Conflicts & resolution.
Fields on the card instead of properties
Other AWS fields — for example partner need, use case, delivery model, sales activity, industry, country and currency — are not HubSpot properties. Sellers fill them in on the card’s Prepare the Deal for APN tab. They are stored in FlowState, so they do not appear in HubSpot reports.
- Industry is always shown on the card. FlowState fills it in from the deal, then from the associated company, then with an AI suggestion. The deal’s and the company’s values count only when they match one of AWS’s industries. The seller can change it.
- Country comes from the associated company and is read-only on the card.
The AWS team (account manager, sales representative and others), AWS’s next step and the last sync error are also shown live on the card, not stored as properties.
Standard HubSpot properties FlowState reads
FlowState reads these deal properties for the AWS opportunity and never writes to them:
| HubSpot property | Used for |
|---|---|
Deal name (dealname) | The opportunity title |
Close date (closedate) | The target close date |
Deal stage (dealstage) | The AWS stage, through your stage mapping |
| Associated contacts (first name, last name, job title) | The opportunity contacts |
Removing the properties
The properties stay in HubSpot when you disconnect FlowState. To remove them:
- In FlowState, click Deprovision on Settings → Integrations → HubSpot and type
DELETEto confirm (or use theapn_deprovision_hubspot_propertiesMCP tool). FlowState deletes each property and reports any that failed. - Or, in HubSpot, delete the
flowstate_apnproperty group under Settings → Properties.
Both remove the properties and their values from every deal. This cannot be undone.
