Updating the Marketplace connector
Sometimes FlowState changes the connector template. A connector that you deployed before such a change keeps its old version until you deploy it again.
Changes that need action
| Deployed before | What changed | What happens if you do not update |
|---|---|---|
| 31 August 2026 | The role can also read your seller profile (to find the currencies you can be paid in) and list your purchase agreements. | The offer form cannot tell which currencies you can use. FlowState cannot read your purchase agreements, so it cannot tell whether a buyer accepted an offer, and the card hides Change and Expire. Products, offers, create, clone and release keep working. |
To check your version, open IAM → Roles → FlowStateMarketplaceConnector → Permissions in
the seller account. If the inline policy has no statement named MarketplaceAgreementRead,
update.
Update the connector
Deploy the connector again, in the same way as before. The role, its ARN and the ExternalId stay the same, so you do not need to reconnect.
- OpenTofu with the published module: run
tofu init -upgrade && tofu applyin the connector directory.-upgradeis required: it downloads the current module. A plaintofu initkeeps the old copy, andtofu applythen reports no changes. - CloudFormation: update the stack with the current
marketplace-connector.yamltemplate, and keep the parameter values. Get the template with Download template on the CloudFormation tab of the setup page.
Result: the inline policy of the role has the MarketplaceAgreementRead statement. The
offer form on the card lists your currencies.
