Signing up

Create your account

  1. Go to the FlowState homepage and click Get started. The FlowState sign-in page opens.
  2. Click Sign up and choose one of two options:
    • Email and password — enter your email address and choose a password. The password must be at least 8 characters and include a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
    • Google SSO — sign in with your Google account. See Signing up with Google below; you do not confirm your email separately with this option.
  3. If you signed up with email and password, submit the form. FlowState sends a confirmation code to the email address you entered. The email has the subject Verify your email for FlowState. It shows your email address, the code, and a Sign in to FlowState button for after you confirm. If you ask for a new code, the subject is Your new FlowState verification code.
  4. Enter the code on the confirmation screen and submit it.
  5. Your account is confirmed. Sign in with your email and password.
  6. On your first sign-in, the Welcome to FlowState page opens. Continue with Set up your organisation.

You cannot sign in before you confirm your email. If you try, you are told your account is not confirmed yet.

Signing up with Google

When you sign up with Google SSO, Google has already confirmed your email address for its own account, so FlowState trusts it too. There is no confirmation code to enter — after you approve the Google sign-in, you go straight to the setup page to set up your organisation and its first tenant.

Set up your organisation

A tenant is your team’s private workspace in FlowState. An organisation owns one or more tenants and pays for all of them: one organisation has one billing method.

On the setup page, click Create a new tenant. What you see next depends on whether you already belong to an organisation.

You do not belong to an organisation yet

The page shows Set up your organisation, in two steps:

  1. Your organisation — select how your organisation will be billed:
    • Stripe — pay by card. Enter the Organisation name and continue to step 2.
    • AWS Marketplace — subscribe to FlowState on AWS Marketplace. The page does not create a tenant for you. See AWS Marketplace.
    • Direct billing — pay by invoice. This is not self-service: do not continue with this setup. Contact support@copebit.ch; FlowState sets up your organisation and tenant and invites you as the owner. See Direct billing by invoice.
  2. Your first tenant — enter the tenant name and the URL slug. The page shows the tenant URL as you type. You can change the name later, but not the slug. Click Create tenant.
  3. Complete the payment on the Stripe page.

Result: FlowState shows Payment received — activating your tenant… and then your list of tenants, where the new tenant becomes active. If you cancel the payment, you can complete it from the tenant list within 24 hours; after that, FlowState removes the unpaid tenant.

An organisation admin can rename the organisation later on the Organisation page.

You already belong to an organisation

The page shows Create a tenant in your organisation. There is no billing question: the new tenant is billed through your organisation, and the page shows which billing method your organisation uses. Enter the tenant name and the URL slug, then click Create tenant.

To create another tenant in your organisation, you need the organisation admin role. Without it, the option is not available: ask an organisation admin to create the tenant for you.

Didn’t get the code?

  • Check your spam or junk folder. The email comes from no-reply@flowstate.copebit.io.
  • Wait a few minutes — email delivery is not always instant.
  • Still on the confirmation screen? Use its option to resend the code.
  • Closed the confirmation screen or the tab before entering the code? Go back to the sign-in page and try to sign up or sign in again with the same email address — you are told the account still needs confirming, with a way to get a new code from there.
  • The code expires after 24 hours. Request a new one if yours has expired.

Why do I need to confirm my email?

FlowState uses your email address for account and billing notices, and needs a working, verified address before you can set up billing for your organisation. An unconfirmed account cannot sign in at all, so in practice you always confirm your email before you reach that step.
